In the Spring of 2023, Sky Eye executed a propane truck loading project at a processing facility in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This comprehensive project was executed to efficiently transfer propane from the facility’s storage bullets to trucks, ensuring efficient transfer for further refining and consumer use.
The propane loading package showcases exceptional performance, achieving loading rates of up to 2,700 liters per minute (LPM), significantly reducing truck loading times to less than 30 minutes, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Team Sky Eye was contracted to fabricate a Propane Truck Loading Metering Package, integrating an inline centrifugal pump, metering with automation, and safety controls. This system meticulously meters propane volume, with all data connected to a sophisticated flow computer, generating a Bill of Lading (BOL) for truck transfer and managing the delivery process. Additionally, a specialized mercaptan injection package was designed and delivered, which facilitates mercaptan injection into the metered propane transferred to the trucks.
